Here's what I did for Jon Mangin for his Congressional run for the 6th District of North Carolina.

March 2010

Identity

The campaign’s total identity – from logos to icons – was planned and developed in about two weeks. A deep blue and rich gold were selected as the campaigns colors.

Website

An interactive website to accept donations, facilitate volunteer sign up, press center, and blog – all were integrated with Salesforce CRM, Mailchimp and qGiv.

Campaign Materials

I stepped out of my comfort zone and designed the campiagn’s flyers, banners, street and yard signs, bumper and lapel stickers, buttons, and t-shirts.

eCommerce

An eCommerce component was built into the website to facilitate sales of promotional materials. Payments we’re handled by PayPal Website Payments Pro. Checkout was on-site.

The problem

A relative newcomer to national politics, Jon Mangin needed a profession website to bring attention to his cause. I worked closely with Jon Mangin and his campaign to develop a design and infrastructure goal for the project over a three week period. We determined there were two key goals for the project: developing his political image and getting people involved.

The solution

The project included complete requirements documentation, user interface design, information architecture, graphic design, xHTML, Q&A testing, and assistance with integration into existing management systems.

  • We created integrations with Salesforce.com to manage his relationships with volunteers and contacts.
  • We developed a professional and simple method for accepting donations directly on the Mangin for Congress website.
  • We integrated the website with PayPal Website Payments Pro to allow his constituents to purchase stickers and t-shirts.
  • We developed an advanced database to manage and maintain volunteer sign ups, event registrations, and more.
